Time of Report                      8:30 pm Sunday 10 September 2006

Summary

A 250 metre section of the Great Eastern Highway at Nangeenan was unsealed and become muddy and slippery with the onset of wet weather on Thursday 7th September. Despite continued rain the highway remained open to all traffic during the weekend. During that period traffic controllers controlled traffic day and night. All traffic was required to stop and permitted through the site, one direction at a time. No detours or side tracks were in operation...
